Red Class- Fantastic Fire and Ice

Not too many photographs were taken today as we were all so busy! Today the pond was partly frozen and the children were fascinated, safely fishing ice out of the water and talking about what might happen to it next. We also found some pond snails and spotted some pine cones that were trapped in the ice. Others enjoyed nature hunts and mud sliding was also very popular. At the end of the session we had our first fire of the year. The children loved watching the flames and talked about what they could see, smell and hear.
